The Rusty Lake Hotel is a puzzle-adventure game that challenges players to solve various puzzles and uncover hidden secrets. In this walkthrough, we'll guide you through the game's early stages, highlighting key clues, puzzles, and items to collect.

Room 4 Clues

Upon entering Room 4, you'll notice two sketches on the walls: a hand sketch with one clue and an A5 sketch with two clues. Combine the four cards with the other two on the sketch, arranging them based on the symbols. This will reveal a hidden key. Drop the ring into the glass box to receive this key.

Next, owl's sketch appears on the wall, followed by Mr. Rabbit's hand closing around it. Stab the hand before it closes the box. Then, grab the flowers according to the painting to the left of the chained box (purple, red, white, orange). Move Mr. Rabbit to get an eye (there's no set answer; it's randomized).

Puzzles and Items

1. Knife Puzzle: Use the knife on Mr. Rabbit's sketch.

2. Window Figure: Refocus on the wall with the window until a figure appears (he takes a few seconds to show up).

3. Hidden Items: Grab the four of diamonds behind the sword diagram, the two of hearts behind the hand sketch, the hat on top of the chained box, and the triangle stone behind the table with the glass box.

Room 4 Items

1. Ace of Clubs: Hide in the light above the bed.

2. Knife: Found in the drawers.

Mr. Rabbit's Death

Interact to make him drink a poison-laced tabasco, then refocus to kill him. You can use this opportunity to learn more about Mr. Rabbit and his mysterious death.

Lab Setup

1. Poisonous Powder: Mix eight deciliters of water with poisonous powder in the lab setup.

2. Seed Planting: Plant the seed in the dirt cup, water it with the bucket, light the candle, and cover the cup to get poisonous seeds.

Butterfly Puzzle

1. Place the butterfly in the frame and interact with them in the right order using the code above the science equipment (from left to right, 213322) to get a seed.

2. Refocus until it's on the sill again and catch it with the glass jar.

3. Open the right window, refocus until the butterfly is on the windowsill, and attempt to stab it.

Cabinet and Window

1. Unlock the cabinet and pour water into the containers.

2. Open the left window, tie the bucket to the rope, lower it, and raise it back up to get some water.

Deer Skull Puzzle

1. Interact with the antlers on the mounted deer skull until tabasco comes out of the nose and collect some in the empty canteen.

2. Collect blood from the deer's antlers and fill the glass jar with blood and vodka.

Weight Scale Puzzle

Find the values of each weight using the scale and put the code (3531) into the box by the windows to get a knife.

Miscellaneous Items

1. Matches: Found in the drawers.

2. Glass Jar: Take from the grinder.

3. Bucket: Grab the bucket on the table.
